GENERAL COMMENTS
These pressure groups incorporate a frequency shifter which regulates the pump speed, according to the flow demand, always keeping a constant pressure. In the system.
APPLICATIONS
- Constant pressure water supply in blocks of flats, sport centres, industries and hotels.
- Transformation of hydropneumatic groups into pressure groups with frequency shifter, only with a panel change, without changing the valves.
ADVANTAGES
- It keeps the system constant pressure, eliminating the pressure differential found in hydropneumatic groups.
- It provides the necessary flow in demand time
- As no large accumulators are needed, it is quite compact and occupies a reduced space.
- The velocity step means a supply power variation, which reduces power consumption.
- The delayed pump stop at low speed eliminates the pressure-surge, which enlarges the system life.
- The elimination of control mechanical devices reduces maintenance costs.
WORKING
The transducer fitted in the impulse pipe informs the pressure shifter about the real existing pressure. It either increases pump spin velocity in case of flow demand increase, or reduces it when flow demand decreases and it combines the auxiliary pumps start or stop at the right moment.
VALVE OPERATION OPTIONS
- 1 permanent regulated pump and auxiliary pumps cascade
- Alternated regulated pump and auxiliary pumps in cascade
- A permanent regulated pump and alternated auxiliary pumps
- The latter operations can be complemented with time-limited working.
- Double operation is possible with presostates (for traditional operation in case the frequency shifter breaks down.
- Interlocking by outer signal (buoy, level switch…)
